Quail En Casserole
 

Ingredients

    • 6 Quail
    • 3 slices bread slightly toasted
    • 1/2 teaspoon savory
    • Salt & pepper
    • 3 strips bacon
    • 1/3 cup water
    • 2 teaspoon butterĀ 
 

Clean and remove skin from quail. Rub each with salt and butter. Roll slightly toasted bread into small pieces. Add pepper, salt, savory, butter. Stuff birds and wrap each with 1/2 strip bacon. Place in casserole with pat of butter, and 1/3 cup water. Cover and cook until tender.
